News Bits

A few items that caught my interest over the past few days:

Mark Cohen writes on the retirement of Bill Rieger. I looked for quotes to pull out but you really should read the whole thing yourself.

Ken Davis was reelected chair of the Montgomery County Republicans (inky article here). One paragraph that struck me in particular:

Davis, a managing director at Duane Morris Government Affairs in Philadelphia, lobbies in Washington and Harrisburg for clients including the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network, and Rite Aid. He also is paid $7,500 a month to lobby for Montgomery County.
