PA-07 Update

Two items on the 7th congressional district race between incumbent Republican Curt Weldon and Democratic challenger Joe Sestak.

Rep. Curt Weldon and his campaign called the police, fearing a group of protestors might appear outside his office. The officers arrived to find one lone Eagle Scout (not that one lone Eagle Scout can't be fierce -- they just aren't normally given to rabble rousing). It doesn't look good for a sitting congressman to seem fearful of civic-minded teen, on his lonesome, doing nothing more than standing around taking notes. (as reported in the Delaware County Times "Weldon camp calls cop on Sestak volunteer standing near office," by Cindy Scharr, Aug. 5, 2006).

Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy Wade Sanders has a column up at Military.com denouncing Weldon for his "swiftboat" attacks against Joe Sestak. See the full posting here.

If he calls the cop about an eagle scout. He will probably need the Nationa Guard to protect him from you.
